DSS Contract for Medicaid Transportation

Rob Brink (KARTS Executive Director) is preparing a new Medicaid transportation contract for his counties.  This contract will address lessons learned and questions raised during the NC Tracks implementation process.  He is working with his Board Chair, NC DHHS Department of Medical Assistance and the County attorney to craft the correct language.  It will be approximately 60 days before the process is complete.  He will share his template at that time.

For now, Rob suggests you begin your rate negotiations for FY18 now and wait to sign a contract until this new contract template is available.  It would be a best practice for you to schedule a review by your attorney as well.
